Air and surface decontamination – carlisle
A 36,000 cubic metre supermarket in Carlisle suffered a flood with four feet of water within the shop. As the premises was a supermarket and dealt with fresh food daily, the supermarket chain contacted BioSweep UK Ltd and requested that we made the premises as safe as possible with regards to bacteria, viruses and mould spores before the reinstatement process. To ensure that the supermarket was in a good position to begin reinstatement we performed our surface and decontamination treatment. We split the building into three separate treatment areas and treated the building for four and a half days.
BioSweep UK Ltd then conducted air tests in three different locations within the supermarket; warehouse, office area and store front. All three tests came back with neligable results, BioSweep UK Ltds treatment had eradicated all mould spores, bacteria and viruses and the supermarket was ready to begin reinstatement.
odour after house fire – haywards heath
A £1.5m house in Haywards Health experienced a pyrolisation fire in their dining room, which in turn spread an acrid smell throughout the entire house. BioSweep UK Ltd were called in to remove the smoke odour that had imbedded itself into the contents and the building. The restoration company that were remediating the house tried to remove the odour twice prior to BioSweep UK Ltd being called in, using an Ozone machine, but were unsuccessful. We were able to treat the entire house in just 24 hours and achieved 100% smoke eradication within the building and contents. We were able to save tens of thousands in strip out, rebuild and contents costs as well as being able to save precious family heirlooms, which would have been irreplaceable.

odour after factory fire – chicago
BioSweep UK Ltd were called over to Chicago to assist BioSweepUSA and BioSweepCanada in eradicating a severe fire smoke odour that had permeated into the ceiling of a 1.9million cubic feet manufacturing company. As a team we split the factory into two halves, using plastic sheeting, in order to treat each half separately over two consecutive weekends. The first lot of treatment was started on the Friday evening and was completed by the Sunday evening, this was repeated the following weekend, ensuring that there were no interruptions whatsoever to the factory’s operations. Within the ceiling there was soot from the fire but BioSweep UK Ltds unique ozone and vapour phased hydrogen peroxide system was able to permanently remove all odour from the ceiling.
If we hadn’t have been called in the factory would have had to have had the ceiling cleaned, meaning scaffolding would have needed to be set up and the cleaning process would have taken three to four months, causing a significant disruption to the factory’s operations.
mould after flooding – carlisle stately home
A stately home that had been converted into apartments ended up with over a metre of water throughout five apartments and a shared utility room, due to significant flooding. Unfortunately, there were issues drying the affected areas and subsequently all five apartments and the shared utility area experienced significant mould growth. BioSweep UK Ltd were instructed to carry out mould removal on behalf of a restoration company who were unable to treat the mould through other methods.
Before any cleaning or treatment was undertaken our trained technicians conducted a sampling regime throughout all affected areas. The sampling conducted found in some cases millions of mould spores per dm2, and in one case over 7 million mould spores per dm2.
Our trained team treated the mould in three steps. Firstly our technicians treated all the surfaces with a hydrogen peroxide based product, we then HEPA vaccuumed all surfaces to remove the spores and finally BioSweep UK Ltd conducted a BS900 air and surface decontamination treatment. Post treatment we resampled all areas and found that nearly all of the samples showed 0 mould spores per dm2 and nearly all areas saw a reduction of 99.9% of mould spores. A great success!
